Nikon Z6III firmware 2.01 addresses issues relevant to that preparation: burst exposure and several problems involving F-mount lenses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nikon lists Z6III C firmware version 2.01 with a release date of 14 October 2026. The update does not promise identical results in every frame. Using manual mode does not, by itself, rule out the issue described by the manufacturer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For NIKKOR F-mount lenses, Nikon also fixed exposure that could become unstable in rare cases during burst shooting with a type E lens. The notes additionally cover the camera sometimes becoming unresponsive during burst shooting with F-mount lenses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For a business commissioning product photographs or a professional booking portraits, the practical consideration is allowing the photographer time to check the intended equipment combination. The release notes do not quantify better image quality, success rates or retouching time saved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This version also adds Pre-Release Capture from compatible Bluetooth remote controllers and focus limiter setting support for selected lenses. Check compatibility lens by lens. FV lock retains flash output. This is not a statement that every autofocus mode or every flash has a problem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nikon also lists a fix for the camera failing to take the configured number of pixel shift shots with a non-CPU lens attached. An unresponsive-camera issue when zooming live view during subject detection with a manual lens was also fixed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As session preparation, photographers can check focus and exposure with the lens, flash and shooting mode they intend to use. Review several frames rather than a single preview. This is practical planning advice, not a camera test result.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the client brief, agree on visible priorities: product detail, colour references, portrait expressions and image selection requirements. Nikon says there is no need to download or install this update if the same version is already installed. The update requires a computer and a card reader.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Follow the official Z6III instructions, including the warning not to update with lenses other than Z-mount NIKKOR lenses or mount adapters other than FTZ II\/FTZ attached. Do not assume instructions for another Nikon model are interchangeable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Allow time to follow the instructions and check the functions you need before work that would be difficult to repeat. Keep important photographs separately backed up.
